Let me in lindqvist

While Lindqvist’s story does remain true to the basics of vampire lore (they only come out at night, they drink human blood, and they must be invited in before they can cross a doorway), he has created an unflinching horror story that covers a lot of dark human emotions and taboos. I’ve read it all: from charming Lestat to sparkling Edward. Vampire novels have been done to death (pun intended) and vary widely from Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles all the way to Stephanie Meyer’s YA Twilight saga. With the vague mentions, the only thing I knew about the book was that it involved a vampire. I’ve heard vague mentions the past few years, especially in regards to the film of the same name released in Sweden and well as the American film titled Let Me In. This is the first book of 2019 for my book club and it was creeeeepy, to say the least.
